I'm in south eastern AZ in a dirt cheap double wide with about 1500sqft. I have a much larger "red steel" 3 door tall-garage door outbuilding that is arguably worth more than the house. Possibly quite a bit more! It's insured for $150,000.

I just got my renewal policy from Farmers: $2800 for a year!! Massive increase from last year. I've never had a claim!

Anyone in southern AZ in the middle of nowhere with a similar setup have a recommendation on insurance? $2800 is ridiculous in my book.

Custom bug spat pattern hood, grill & bumper. Dead Live Oak leaf collection under hood, cowl and lower fenders. Beach sand custom floor covering.
I shop around. State Farm nearly doubled in one year. Went to Nationwide for a few year and they went up. Now with Erie. Home, auto and medicare supplement. Tundra, 124 Abarth, Travel Trailer and home all about $1,600 yr. I have very high coverage but $1,000 deductible. My Medicine supplement is reduced since I have home and auto.

    But this is Ohio

I had Erie when I was in PA. Sadly they don't exist out here. :(

Most insurance companies have raised rates and having no claims has nothing to do with it. For instance, hail. This is "not at fault" claim that costs millions every year. We just got hit and have probably 80-100,000 worth in damages. Most of my neighbors do or more too.

I switched home and auto policies from Allstate to Openly, and Progressive. Saving a good amount. Went through a friend who's a broker for Goosehead.

Homeowners from allstate $1487 to openly $866 saving $620/yr

Automotive from allstate $3972 to progressive $1832 saving $2140/yr. This is two vehicles and a travel trailer.

I'm saving $2700/yr with the same or improved coverages.

See if you have Amica in your area. That's who we have home, auto and umbrella through. Cost to coverage is very good, and everytime I have had to contact them for anything, it's always been a good experience. I think full coverage on my Tundra is around $600/yr.

Find a local insurance broker, they'll take your info and send it out to bid with a bunch of companies to get you the best rate.
