Pretty sure the 14" is 1080P and 8" is 720P

In both cases, more than enough resolution for screens that size.

People still PC game on 27" 1080P monitors. lol

For those of you that use Binize in your 2022 Tundra do any of you have the upgraded Tundra that comes with the wireless carplay and 14inch JBL unit?

I have read that this device doesn't work on ones with wireless carplay, is this true? I have tried a similar unit to the Binize and it always gave me a certification error.

I have the 14". You have to use it usb. The 'wireless carplay' also has wired carplay. Can confirm 100% it works.

I have the Benize and it works pretty good. The radio already has wireless AA and CP. The Benize has an actual android OS inside and is using the HU for a display. It also has a sim card slot. I stuck an unused Verizon 5g sim in there and it displayed saying I need to have the SIM activated. One thing I've not sorted out yet is Bluetooth calling. When the Benize is connected, it is being used as a CP device. My phone can be connected to the 14" screen but BT does not come through the truck. I think I have to connect my phone to the Benize and it'll go through piggybacking the Benize. Anyone with it, have it working properly? I tried a cheaper box but it was only for giving you wireless AA and CP, which the screen already has.

    **Update**
I've connected BT from the phone to the Benize and calls come through the truck as they should. However when I get a text message, I do not get a notification through the truck. If you're lucky, you might see your phone in your peripheral, light up. If not you, may see text messages late.

This is what I did with my Benize, just some Velcro but better than the cord dangling.

That's a great spot for it. I have mine in the tray above the glove box. And the wire is tucked kinda behind the radio bezel.

I feel ya man! When I saw the YouTube from nitroz18 I had to get it. Love it. I wish it connected faster to my phone on cellular though. I have to go into the settings in my phone and turn the hotspot off, then on again and then it finds it in the Benize WiFi menu. Don’t even mind dropping the wife off at the store and waiting in the truck watching a little CFB. :)

I bit the bullet and got this as well.
Just spent 1hr configuring and installing everything in the truck.
    Works great!

2 questions for anyone monitoring this thread:
    1. Out of curiosity, why do/did you guys buy the Android ver9 device, instead of Android10 (I got the v10)?
    2. Assuming the USB port in front dash panel is the only data port we can use for this, does anyone know if we can buy this USB connector separately (OEM part number?)?
I'd like to make my Binize disappear, and thought that if I can get a 2nd USB outlet (same as in dash), then I can use one as a fake, and one hidden inside the dash, with Binize behind it.

Otherwise everything is great; got all my phone's apps/settings replicated to it.
Able to watch Netflix, YT, YTmusic, email and best of all I can now run my TorquePRO dash in its full glory on that damn 14" screen!

If the 17 year old version of me saw a car/truck with gauges like these 20 years ago I'd crap my pants in disbelief.

Mine is Android 9 mainly cause I bought the 1st one I seen and didn't look for a 10. I'd say it can be updated. If yours is connected, when you get a text, how are you notified? I have my phone BT to the Benize for calls but I don't get any audible notification for texts.

    Same/similar.

Phone calls/receiving/address book work via BT connection to the Benize box as well, but when a text comes in my phone will buzz and show notification, but the Benize system does not receive it, hence no notification on the screen (or sound).

Can you post more details on how you ran the cable? Looks clean.

Edit: Or is it just the angle of the pic making it look hidden?

Angle of pic. It's just tucked in the corner of the bezel and dash. I did take the display out to try and clean the screen, no luck. But the plastic below is fairly flexible and you could probably completely hide it. If I get an angle adapter I'll try it. Worst case is you make a relief notch for the wire. You'll never see it.

Added: I unplug mine unless I plan to watch something so I can get my texts. Short trips, it's not really worth getting a video to start.

I've got mine run the same way with a short USB-C cable. Clean and efficient.

You can still use FM, Sirius, CD, etc. The Benize I believe comes through as carplay. Not 100% sure as I don't use apple stuff. And ya, I know there's no CD player. LoL

If you would like to use the wireless CarPlay (your phone) or Android Auto, you can go to settings (the gear), Bluetooth, and connect your phone. This will disconnect the Binzie and you drive on using your phone but the Benzie is still plugged in to USB.

shipping from the us won't be cheap but buy once cry once seems to apply here well.

That stinks it's not in Canada. What also stinks for people here, it's went up $60. I got mine for $229 plus $20 off. It's now $289 but still $20 off.

    CarlinKit New Mini AI Box Wireless Android Auto&CarPlay,4G Cellular,Quad-Core Chip,3G+32G,QCM 2290,2.4G-5G WiFi,Add Android 11 System,Fit for Cars with Wired CarPlay&Touch Screen,Easy Setup https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B97MDKGK

See if this is available. I think any that has Android os on it, will work. Before the Benize I bought one for like $100 but sent it back cause it only have your wireless carplay and AA. Which we already have.
