at only 5 yrs old, my headlights are beginning to haze. I bought what was supposed to be good quality replacements for the wife's Highlander 2 yrs ago and they are covered with spider cracks. Any suggestions on aftermarkets or just bite the bullet on factory ones?

I polish mine with car polish once or twice a year to remove the white haze that is starting to develop on them. Seams like all plastic headlights haze over time.

I tried to polish twice the ones on an old Lexus I had and they didn't do better at all. I wish that they'd bring glass ones back.

Morimoto's are the only aftermarket ones I'd trust.

Morimoto, and TRS in general i have found to be complete junk. I would suggest just buying the toyota LED headlights, install with the (ihacker) harness. The toyota headlights are reasonably priced, DOT approved, and are leaps better than stock halogens.

I agree. I had aftermarket headlights that were complete garbage. WAY too many on the market, and you can't be certain how they will perform until you install them. At that point, hard to return them. I ended up getting the OEM LEDs and used @iHacker's harness. Couldn't be more pleased.

Third for OEM leds and Ihacker harness. Love mine and they are better than any after market.

I use Maquiers plastic polish on mine and hit with some 303 every 3 months. They look like new after 2 years. I would stick with OEMs and not trust aftermarket

An inexpensive way If they are hazing up... 3m makes headlight lens kit that should clean those right up. It can take lights that are hazed almost white and clean then right up. There are also other products that do a pretty good job. I have done it on a few cars and they ended up looking great.

I wouldn’t say they are complete junk.

Especially TRS, they are a retail establishment who sells all kinds of lighting products and stand behind things they sell with good customer service and warranties.

As far as morimoto, I have had good luck with them as far as oem replacement fogs and bulbs. I have had a couple bad products from them as far as HID ballasts that would not ignite an OEM his bulb, and a bad plug on a wiring harness.

TRS also sold me some OEM Toyota factory lights with great customer service.

I've tried those kits before years ago on another vehicle but the hazing just came back in a few months.

Get the OEM led headlights. You can get those and ihackers harness for ~$650-700 and you have OEM quality headlamps.

I also wax my headlights, haven’t had any issues with any of our vehicles hazing

You can treat the hazing of the headlight LENS with Repel bug treatment with 40% DEET. You read that correct. Be very careful in your application. But it is extraordinary in cutting the crap. YES. You will be shocked and in disbelief that mother's put this shit on their children.

TRS has been thrown off here more than once for doing sketchy shit. They have also been thrown off another automotive forum I’m a member of as well.

They are trash, as are their branded lines.

Wow didn’t know. Like I said I have only had good experiences with them.

Is it possible to elaborate on what they have done to be removed form forums. I don’t want to violate any forum rules or stir up old stuff. Just curious.

I found some factory 2015 headlights that look like new. Will they fit my 2014?
