I’ve bought a couple of different shorty antennas off of Amazon that are supposed to fit, but neither of them match up with the antenna base. The hole on the base is too big. The antenna studs just drop in without any of the threads catching. The truck didn’t come with an antenna when I bought it, so I need something to help radio reception.
    Anyone else have this issue?

Are the threads striped inside the base?

Most of the aftermarket antennas should come with a bunch of different mounting screws. Mai my because the antennas are sold as a “universal” fit. That’s how mine came.

I had the same issue. The antenna I bought had a base that was far too small for the antenna base.

I also have a problem in that a previous antenna was broken off with part of the antenna remaining in the base.
