My '13 Sequoia has developed a beep, only when moving. I can't find it as I'm driving when it is moving and my wife has awful ears and can't tell where it is coming from.

It happens 5x in the first 32 seconds on this clip, there is a weird bad noise at 34 or so seconds.

A few... Definitely more than 2
34 seconds sounds like the phone maybe sliding and seems to match you taking a turn :notsure:

Only time I have heard a beep that sounds anything like that is when I try to downshift to early and the truck will do a soft little hollow sounding beep and refuse to shift until the rpms are lower. Does not seem to match the driving you are doing in the sound clip but most closely matches the sound to my ear. That sound seems to come from behind the cluster in my experience.

Thanks, the much louder beep at 39 seconds is from behind the cluster, I forgot & took off my seatbelt.

Sometimes it sounds (to me) like it is coming from the passenger floor/glove compartment & sometimes it sounds like it is coming from the middle row.

I just know it sucks & as I am going to be driving for 6+ hours tomorrow I really want to find the source.

I'm going deaf so I only heard 1 beep.... It happens when you have to watch planes launch off an aircraft carrier as part of your job.... anyway, it sounds like the sonar going off... Maybe one of the retainer clips is cracked and every time you turn or hit a bump it will shift detecting the bumper as a foreign object and sounding the alarm. The retainer on my front right sensor got cracked and every time I would hit a bump or turn right it would set off just 1 beep, since it's well within the 3 ft radius. Hope this helps

Maybe check behind your OBD2 if you purchased it used, maybe that tracker's battery is dying and making the beep.

Only place I'm sure it's not coming from is driver front. Also I have been under inside and so far up my dash I know every wire!

    Lol

    Thanks!

I doubt it's a smoke detector. But that would be great!

Spitballing, any chance Sequoia's have a low washer fluid beep? My wife's LS does and it occasionally comes on during corners. Front and rear?

I don't think so but mine is not low.

I'll take any idea, I am pretty sure it's coming from the passenger side 2nd row.

    Thanks

That would drive me insane. I'd recruit someone with good hearing to do a ride along and help me hunt it down. Or hire an exorcist.

My truck beeped after I was driving for a while. Took several times for me to realize it was the warning that the passenger seat airbag was off due to light weight items in the passenger seat.
Nothing on the dash flashed. Just a solid light on the far side of the AC control area was lit indicating the passenger airbag was off.

    Soooooooo......

Found the beep. Drove to L.A. yesterday with my Wife, she drove, I sat in back. Seemed to be coming from the 3rd row, I learned when the tree is in motion, the switches are dead (was afraid they were just dead, lol.

When we stopped I put them up & resumed driving. NOPE. Damn beep at different times sounded like it was coming from EVERYWHERE!.

Turned out to be my damn Kenwood dash cam that is in the rear window. This camera has been in every vehicle I have had since 2015 without making this noise.

Need to figure out why but soooo glad it's found.
