    Man, this was a tough one to hear. My college buddies and I used to road-trip it to a show every year. Some great memories (from what I can recall :drunk:)

    Feel very fortunate to have seen him in May. Definitely going to have a loaded landshark or two today (landshark lager with a shot of tequila in it).


    RIP Jimmy. Thanks for all the memories!

    Yes. Sad news to hear, my fam and I saw him in Nashville back in 2013, actually the same day George Jones died. I grew up listening to Buffett as my dad listened to it, and I loved the laid back vibe. He’ll be missed.

    When I saw him in Nashville, they showed a video before the show of a guy outside the arena sitting against a wall and busking. Turns out it was Jimmy in a hat and sunglasses. He came on stage after the video and said “and I made six dollars and fifty cents .. not bad for a honest days works.” (Forget the actual value but it wasn’t much)

    started the show with “I will play for gumbo”
