    Just completed installing a full front and rear seat set from a 2008 Limited DC into my 2007 SR5 DC. The challenge was the passenger seat, as my SR5 is a non power bucket. Many thank to Casey (RainMan_PNW) for his insight and expertise in deciphering the wiring madness. I did install my own seat heater in the passenger seat.

    I have to find a source for the switch illumination and a permanent place for the 12v constant and 12v switched for the seat heater, but overall is it a pretty easy swap.

    Here’s what I did;

    - Sourced the seats and dash switches for the seat heaters from a donor truck. In my case, the rear seats and driver’s seat was 100% plug and play, including all wiring and the heater switch.

    Grey is the Limited, and black is the cloth SR5. In studying both seats side by side, I noted that both seats had common components - so I swapped them out! Before you remove anything, take lots of photos to note connector connections and colors. Also,unbolt the current seats, THEN disconnect the negative battery lead and press the brake pedal to drain any residual current. Wait 5 min, then disconnect the seat connectors.

    The goal is simple- install components from the SR5 seat onto the Limited seat so the existing SR5 truck harness is plug and play. Common components are:

    - the yellow Airbag connector (no swap needed)
    - the 2 wire seatbelt latch connector (no swap needed
    - the SRS junction box (1 black 12 pin connection, 1 white 12 pin connector, 4 “spider leg” connectors going to the 4 corners of the seat bottom). Note the position/colors of the corner connectors- remove all from
    The SR5 seat and install on the limited seat.

    Power for the Limited seat comes from a 2 pin harness- blue is 12v, and white/black stripe is ground. The center yellow is for the factory seats- I opted to not use the factory seat heater. If you do, you’ll have to sort out the wiring.
