Bought my amp/Toyota step threw Roman and I figure I would show a few pictures of the process since I replaced the bracket.

Here is everything in the kit

    A55CB6E7-FDF0-41F0-AC1B-0400FD2A6553.jpg
This is the first step joining the kick out bracket to the arm that will bolt to the tow receiver

    9F623643-896B-4FEA-8C19-A6CF8C6114A8.jpg
Next is to protect the paint with painters tape and remove the bumper cap

    B60EEDE5-2C05-4057-B832-3E3541A56341.jpg
The 7way plug and tag light need to be removed

This clip that holds the bumper/license plate cover is removed

Gently pry the covering up ( try and pinch the clips so they don’t break). I did end up breaking one

The five bolts that hold the bracket in

It doesn’t say in the instructions to remove this bolt, but I did so I could have a little more play to remove the bracket and it still hit the receiver trying to remove it.

This is where it will get hung up coming out

    D17C383D-4674-4ED4-B0BD-20931C5DB29F.jpg
This is the spot that will hit coming out

    F03B5ADF-A585-4F73-8168-7D9D96C97CEF.jpg
New bracket in the back stock up front.

The new bracket doesn’t have welded nuts on it so these are provided

    57BDDEB2-8F10-46F1-A50F-26CAB5A20DAE.jpg
This needs to be removed so you can torque the amp
    Step to the truck

    3476309F-546D-4177-B017-068475E49DA6.jpg
Install the bracket and tighten bolts but leave the one next to the bed out (not like I did)

    669EF9E8-EFE7-4C33-BA28-8403946E233B.jpg
    Remove these 2 bolts

    84C4B06A-C7CE-48AA-8A3D-9F8034C58974.jpg
Install step and torque to 90ft lbs. then just reverse the steps to reinstall the bumper covers

    And here it is installed

AWESOME job in write up !!!

I would consider this from amp- but not the power running boards- every one I see around here always has one stuck down or stopped working altogether
Must be the all the freakin salt/ salt brine used up here in north east- BULL$HIT

Great write up! I am considering swapping my side AMP step to this one. I like how it comes out the rear vs the side. Looks cleaner.

I'm doing the same. Removing the old side-deployed version and having this one installed when the dealer does my bumper recall
