Ok so I ordered a 2021 TRD Pro today and made a deal to trade in my 2019. The Tallahassee dealership called me up out of the blue and talked me into coming in. They said they really wanted my ‘19 Pro to beef up their stock. I have not been in any way unhappy with my 2019, but I told them everything I wanted on a new truck and I ended up putting a deposit on a 2021 with basically every option possible. They offered me $3000 more for my truck than the KBB value so I said fuck it and wrote the check. I’m looking forward to the new truck and someone is going to get a great truck when they buy my ‘19. I’ve had a bit of a rough summer, so I decided to do something for myself. Selfish I know, sue me.

Make sure they didn't F up. Tampa dealers said they are still filling orders for the 2020's and that 21's aren't even in production yet.

 

The paperwork he gave me says 2021. I just texted the salesman. He said he’s left for the day but he’s 90% sure it’s a 2021. He’s going to check when he goes back in Monday and let me know. He could be full of shit but there’s not much difference I don’t think. Not a deal breaker for me, but it would be sweet to get a 2021.

 

I hear ya. Like I was saying, they are behind on the 20's. I just talked to the salesman that I have been working with and he said they have not heard anything at all on the 21's and show nothing coming in but 20's. Have you noticed that most inventory coming into Fl is all 4wd? All the dealer inventory here is all 4wd.

 

They only had 9 Tundras on the lot. I looked at them all, 5 were 2wd.

 

Nice. Hell they don't have shit here for inventory. Clearwater has 0 and Autoway has 3....2 SR models and a Pro.

 

If your paperwork says it's a 2021 it's a 2021, you have a legal contract. Don't let them give you a 2020.

I'm sure if you tried to cancel they woul keep your deposit if it says that in the small print. That contract works in your favor also.

 

My Toyota salesman told me today that they are being told no 2021 Tundras arriving until November-December but he was shrugging his shoulders like he really didn’t know.

The contract doesn’t say that. He specifically told me that I had the right to inspect the truck when it comes in and walk away if there was anything I didn’t like and they would tear the check up.

Already plan to do that. As a matter of fact, part of the deal is they have to take the Fab Fours rear bumper off of my ‘19 and install it on the new truck. I have that in writing.

 

Well I just heard the redesign got pushed back to 2022.

 

That’s ok, I’d rather have the V-8, fuck the gas mileage. If I wanted better gas mileage I’d buy a Prius.
