One thing about my Tacoma that I wish my Tundra would do, is the "Always-On" dash lighting. With the window tint I have, and all windows rolled up, even on a bright sunny day, I can barely see the numbers on the dash. I find myself turning on my parking lights or even headlights just to see the dash. Has anyone heard of a mod to illuminate the dash whenever the truck is running as opposed to only when the parking/headlights are on?

I have been looking for the same thing. The readability of the Tundra instrument panel sucks. I complained to Toyota Corp. They totally misunderstood the problem. Their reply was to adjust the knob. I tried to explain to them that I knew how to do that but the problem was in daylight on cloudy days or with sunglasses on. There has to be a simple way to do this. I never had the problem on a Tacoma.

You'd think someone would have found a way to do this in TechStream or something considering how so much is controlled by the ECU and BCM. Maybe I just need to rig up a small led somehow.

I agree, my 2nd Gen had the always on Dash lights and I miss that with the my 3rd Gen, so I would think it is possible. As soon as my Techstream Laptop is fixed, screen is being wonky, I will check, but if anyone else can chime in on how to enable the setting would be greatly appreciated.
