Alpha Rex Tail Lights

I know everyone loves the Alpha Rex Nova headlights, but does anyone actually actually use the tail lights. I have a busted tail light casing, and would like to upgrade. The recons are out of my price range, and some of the others seem a bit sketchy. Are these going to be legit at that price point? Any photos that can be provided would definitely be appreciated.

 

Thanks for posting this. Looking for options there myself as the big RED tails on a black truck look a little odd. Right now I'm leaning toward the Winjet Renegade sequential lights that have been posted here before.

 

The more I read about the winjets, the more afraid I am to purchase them. Lol. But every once in a while I do see, “I’ve had mine for years and they’re still working fine”. It’s all in the hands of their QC dept.

 

Alright, I just looked at the sequential ones by winjet and I’m down with that for sure. We can make it work regardless of qc lol.

 

I would look at the Winjet Renegade Sequential.

They come in 3 colors. Clear, Smoke & Red lens.

The price was very competitive and good reviews.

Well I was in the same boat but these Winjets are priced right and the quality is there. I’ll attach a few more pics for you. I did have to purchase a reverse light bulb. I didn’t want to use the stock halogen.
I also went through Amazon since I’m a Prime member. So if I didn’t like I could send them back. Like you I researched all over and Winjet Renegade sequential is what I wanted a led light bar not the single dot like led’s. I wanted to match the Toyota led headlights I installed. For $250 it was a no brainer.
Just make sure if your buying the Winjets make sure they are Winjets. Many knockoffs online. CarID sells Winjets as well.

 

There are specific threads that state how bad these are. That’s the only thing that worries me.

 

Yep but those were dated back to 2018. I have a posting on here about the Winjets . There is a YouTube video about the Winjets of recent. The bad reviews were a few years old.

It’s up to you. But after market anything shouldn’t cost more than OEM. That’s my 2 cents. Lol
My 2018 OEM LED headlights were worth the cost but for me the Hirevs are $370! That’s just crazy. Plus they are in the middle of moving south so no shipping until after 9/23

 

On their site, they state they will start shipping 9/3 but they just posted this today.

 

As soon as possible? Could be weeks? Can you call and get a better answer?

Man, I am very indecisive. Lol. I haven’t tried to call and because of my impatience I will probably just go with the Winjets. Haha. I am also a prime member so Amazon will make it easy. As long as I get the right link and don’t purchase knock offs

I will browse Amazon again to see if I can find the one I purchased from was the Albert Store through Amazon. On the Winjet website they have a list of vendors on Amazon that they don’t want you to buy from. If that helps? Pic I attached shows the Albert Store label and the Amazon distributor label. I traced back the Albert Store to Winjet.
Lol I did my research too because $250 is still a good amount of dough to spend.

 

Ok looks like Wolfstorm is a good Winjet vendor.

 

I have a set of Alpha Rex tail lights that I ordered a few months ago I am just waiting for them to come in should be later this month I hope.

The estimated delivery through Amazon is sep 14. Do you think that would be faster than carid? (Carid is $10 cheaper after shipping)

 

I did speak with CarID before I went with Amazon and I think they will get it to you a lot faster than Amazon. They are also out of New Jersey. So they are on the east coast. I’d call them tomorrow

 

That first link you posted from wolfstorm said they could get them to me Wednesday so definitely something sketchy there. Lol.

 

I also noticed during my search for an actual vendor that sells Winjet that a lot of the negative comments were based on Winjet look alike or Non Winjet manufacturers that used Winjets design and got blamed or bad reviews from the knock offs.

Well I did it. Do I need to purchase a led reverse light?

 

Did it? CarID was still open? Sweet!
Ya the reverse bulb doesn’t come with it. You use the existing socket and bulb. I went with these. Some people chose other models but these snapped right in with no wiggle.

 

Carid does offer discounts and coupons from time to time.

I spoke to HIREV this weekend and they said that could be 2-3 weeks until items are shipped.

 

The only thing is if you look at the back of the Alpharex at $275 and the back of the Winjets at $258 the Winjets look better on the seal of the housings.
