Hey Forum members, i almost sold my 19’ CM for more
Than i paid for it. Last second I told the buyer with cash to stand by.

If i sold it ill be replacing it with a F250 2020 gas 4x4.

hardest selling point; saying bye to toyota brand, fits in my garage, toyotas name/ reliablility.

reason why i want f250; towing capability, full size 6’ bed allows bed camping, 3357 lbs payload and can haul my parents 1,000 lb tongue weight toy
    Hauler/ 10,000gcvw. I would
Never tow it with my tundra.

another, past weekend i borrowed my parents toy hauler using my folks 06 duramax while my tundra was in the garage. It felt waste of money to be paying for a truck that cant be worked. Felt like i was supporting a horse thats just out to pasture.

tell me your thoughts, im losing sleep over this. New F250 xl with stx and fx4 is asking $46,800 out the door and i had a $42,000 cash offer on my 19’ cm sr5 4x4 with 5,xxx miles.

    help!!!

Sounds like your Tundra won't do what you want it to do. Why lose sleep over it?

Sounds like the Tundra won't do what you need. Sell it and get the Ford imo. I hear what you're saying about garaging it tho. I also much preferred driving my Tacoma in town. It's all tradeoffs and no perfect answers.

You can love the brand, but loving the brand won't get you more capacity. Do what you need to do and remember that Toyota will probably never get into the HD game.

How often would you be towing? Might play a factor as well

You either need a bigger truck, or you need to look at smaller toys that are within the Tundra's abilities. Only you can choose which is right for you.

Honestly, if I were in your position I would sell. The thing that makes me hold onto the Tundra is that I only have one vehicle. Reliability is absolutely paramount, so I cannot justify moving to a domestic. With a reliable 4x4 as a back up, I would upsize.

More than enough. Sounds like you should go HD. Even if you were towing 4 times a year, I would tell you to do it.

I had great reliability with my Tacomas over 16 years, but the Tundra has been unimpressive. Front end vibration, rattles, and now scheduling my second recall. I didn't buy a Toyota to keep visiting the service department, lol.

And don't think that getting rid of your Tundra means you have to ditch the site, right @Lovetrucks ?

There are those that own Tacomas that have had the same expectations and were met with the same experience you had with the Tundra. I know 2 of them. They own Rangers now and have sworn off Toyota trucks.

I hear a lot of folks on my RV forums saying skip the 250 and get the 350 for not much more $ and a shitload more capability.

Correct. I wouldn't buy a modern diesel. I'd buy an old one and pay to overhaul and rebuild it before I bought one with DEF in it.

Lets not get into brand war. GM gas is
    A
No go; too new of a gas 6.6 body style subjectively
    Not for me.

rams gas 6.4 has a cylinder
    Shut off i wouldnt touch!

fords 6.2 been around ten years, no cylinder shut off, torqshift is tried and true, solid alxe and tested true rear leafs vs a 5 link ram.

I guess you haven't seen the videos of the Ford shudder if you think solid front axle is a good thing.
