Hey guys, I recently installed the Fox Pro suspension on my Sport. I took it to the dealership to have an alignment done. These are the specs I ended up with. Looks to me they only touched the toe. I plan on calling the service manager, but should I just let it go because I’m in the “green”. The truck drives ok but not great in my opinion. Any input is appreciated.

Agree with recommendation above. Dealers and most general auto shops do a "toe and go" for alignment. Find a local shop that specializes in front end alignments or lifts and they can do a proper job.

Had the same thing happen earlier this year. AAA care care did alignment, never felt right. Got new tires and went to a suspension/tire shop that I knew had good reviews and been around many years- truck was a different beast with a true alignment- drove and handled so much better.

I sure appreciate the input guys. I felt like this was the case but wanted to bounce it off y’all to make sure.

I’m not sure about a decent shop in my area unfortunately, but I did talk with the service manager about my concerns already. I’mI told him no changes were made except on the toe, while I know the suspension geometry changed when I installed the Pro suspension. So there are specs outlined in the instructions I followed. Should I ask them to set it to these specs?

You got what you asked for an alignment according to toyota's specs and everything is within specs. you should of gone in asking for them to hit your spec's then you would of had an alignment that you wanted.

Well I see your point, and that’s why I asked if I should just let it be. I talked to the service manager and he said they would bring the tolerances in closer for no charge. I even asked if I needed to pay to have a better alignment done. That’s also why I asked the forum if I should have them meet the specs on the Bilstein suspension sheet or if it differs from the specs the Fox suspension setup needs, because I’m not 100% sure the geometry is the same.

I guess I just wrongly assumed by asking them to perform an alignment that they would adjust caster, camber and toe to center all the readings. That’s on me for assuming they’d go fully through the alignment.

Anyone have any insight on this? I think I’m just going to have the alignment guy match the specs outline in the instructions for the Bilstein suspension kit. If that doesn’t work I’ll have to find a shop that knows a bit more about lifts etc.

There are factory specs and serviceable limits. I had one alignment shop actually move a couple of measurements from factory specs into the serviceable limits range. Actually made it worse overall. Took it to a different shop, explained my driving habits and they nailed it with everything where it would work best for me. My MPG numbers went up afterwards too.

Yes. Tell them to get it to the lift specs. They saw green and left it alone. Stock Toyota specs don’t transfer to a lifted truck. If you search this site there are a lot of threads with specs for different size lifts.

Thanks a ton fellas! That’s what I’ll have them do next week. As always, this forum rocks. Here’s a pic of my truck after install.
