    New alignment specs attached

New 2.5” lift and SPC UCAs installed.

I specifically told the shop the “maximize my caster to be able to run 35” tires”

I came out with LESS caster than before.

I’m a little disappointed because I know I should easily be able to achieve 4° +caster with these SPC UCAs.

My understanding is +caster pushes your tires forward (which is what I need to avoid rubbing my body mount)

I also understand that “maximize caster to fit 35s” is a little vague and opinionated. The guy doing the alignment could of said to himself “eh yeah that’ll clear 35s” but again, at the end of the day I didn’t GAIN ANY CASTER compared to my old alignment specs and I specifically asked for this!

Let me also say I have an arb bumper up front so I have plenty of space.

I took a look at my SPC UCAs and from what I can tell they are set on the “e” or “f” position which is a 0.0 or -0.75 change in caster. This is where I am confused, because I was under the impression the SPCs would/should be placed on letters A, B, C, or D which would result in +Caster gain. (See spc guide attached)

I understand the shop probably used my LCA cam bolts to achieve my caster (which is fine) but they could have gotten me more caster by using the SPC UCAs which is why I bought them and what they are designed for. (Please correct me if i’m wrong)

They were going to test fit a 35x12.50 tire for me but didn’t have a used one to test. I understand this would have been ideal.

I still plan on doing a test fit before I spend $1400 on rubber.

From looking at my current room behind my wheel, in full lock, I could possibly fit a 35 without running, but…that’s why I asked for max caster, to improve my chances of the 35 fitting and not rubbing.

I haven’t contacted the shop because I want to make sure I have a logical argument as to why they didn’t give me what I asked for which was “max caster.”

**** Am I missing something here?

I should also add the truck is driving great, but at the end of the day, I didn’t get what I requested and paid good money for ($125 alignment)

Someone also noted my total toe was too high and could result in outer tread wear but I don’t see that, so I’m assuming I’m fine.

Am I justified in bringing my truck back to the shop and asking for a realignment due to no change in +caster or definitely not “max caster” ? Because I want to.

    THANK YOU!!!

New to the tundra side of the house, but definitely went through the learning trials with the SPC Arms on my Tacoma. Definitely got my money’s worth using the Lifetime alignment at Firestone. If you’re shooting for max caster, I’d start out with position “A” and dial it in, and fine tune it using the Oe cams. Camber can be adjusted by moving the ball joints in or out to achieve what you’re looking for. It should be noted that both camber and caster adjustments are tied in together via the OE eccentrics(at least on the Tacoma) Be sure to let the alignment tech that you’ll go into the “red” and out of spec. Hope this helps.

This was a while ago, trying to figure shit out.

This help, thanks. I also attached pics of my rear cam bolts driver and passenger.
