    Anybody have this problem?

When I unlock the door and close it w/o locking it and come back in say 10 minutes or so later and open it again the alarm goes off.

If I'm right, the alarm will reset after 30 seconds or so if the truck is not started and after you shut the doors. So if you unlock it and don't start it, the alarm will reset in like 30 seconds or so. But if you unlock it and start it and shut it off the alarm will not arm unless you push the button to arm it or lock the doors. I am surprised the truck didn't relock its doors since u didn't restart it. If I unlock my truck and don't start it the truck will relock after 30 seconds.

I understand that but now if I unlock the truck and open the door and say go into the truck to get something and then shut the door with out locking it and come back say 5 minutes later the alarm goes off. It has always been my understanding that if you unlock the vechicle and open the door that disables the alarm and any re-lock function.

My Factory set up is that if I unlock my truck using the key fob and open either door then shut it, the truck will relock after 30 seconds on its own and then the factory alarm will arm after that maybe like 30 secs or 1 min. My factory alarm will not arm unless the truck is locked. I noticed your truck is a 2017 but I doubt there's a difference with the factory alarm.

Is this an after market alarm? Wander if you have an after market. Was it used, wonder if someone changed some settings? Does the horn sound or do you have a siren. If you have a siren then I'm guessing you have an after market.

I do have a Viper remote start which was install over 4 years ago and never had a problem with it. When the alarm goes off the horn beeps, so I guess the remote start uses the factory alarm.

Makes more sense now. Both systems are actively working at the same time. Could be causing issues with each other. Maybe there's a valet switch that flipped. Maybe settings changed. A bunch of what ifs. Sorry I couldn't help ya.

Is the factory alarm on the Tundras an option or is it standard in all Tundras?

I’m wondering if I disconnect my battery for a while then reconnect it if all systems will reset back to normal.
