So when I shut off my truck it sounds like a lot of air being released from somewhere in the motor compartment. It's done this since I bought it. Any ideas.

Pretty sure it's normal. There are a number of systems that vehicles have for emissions reasons that briefly run after the engine is turned off. Could be a secondary air pump helping burning off excess gasses or a fuel evaporator. I'm not sure what all our trucks have on them.
