Where do you buy your Toyota air filters at? Or what other brands do you folks run?

I have K&N's in both of mine (cabin and intake). Bought them from AutoZone.

K&N on sale from Walmart. Cabin filter from Amazon. Maybe $7. Definitely not from the dealer. $$$$

Sometimes my dealers' parts dept does have special discounts though on filters and wipers that aren't advertised. Got my Site Line wipers half off.

Not a fan of the K&N filters, prefer a paper filter.

Dealer wanted $35 for a engine air filter, $45 total to install, I laughed and said listen you might be the ones changing the oil but that's only cause I don't feel like crawling around on a gravel drive way, I can handle a air filter LOL.....

I searched online and couldn't get a good air filter for less than I could at the dealer. I was looking for wix I think. I also prefer the paper OEM style filters.

Parts guy at my local dealer (happens to be where I brought my truck) matches their online prices when I buy at the counter. They tend to sell stuff cheaper online than in store

Sound is nice but torque seems to not be there and I have driven my truck for 10 yrs so I know what it feels like .......just like having duels on exhaust I did not like that also so after 1500.00 with two different duels I decided to go with 8 inch BA muffler.....but I like the feel better with TRD stock box and also added the air flow accelerator

I ran the K&N engine filter until the TT debacle. Those pics scared the crap out of me so I went back to a standard dry filter from wix. I still run a K&N cabin filter though.

Same as @captainnemojr here , AFE Pro Dry S air filter with the TRD airflow accelerator. Cabin filter is OEM from the dealer, about $13.00.

In all my cars I have tried different lifetime filters.

K&N will last forever but even with proper oiling they have relatively large holes in the mesh. Hold one up to the sun to see what I mean.

Air raid dry synthetic is in my truck right now. Does catch quite a bit of dirt but the rubber surround is cut pretty sloppy and its thick enough that it takes up square inches that could have been filter area.

Using a dry AEM in my GTI, filters well, built well, rubber surround fits snug and doesn't intrude. Made by K&N I believe.

Using an AFE dry cone filter in my Honda, not sure I'm keeping it. I have a feeling it doesn't fit right and is allowing dirt to suck behind the rubber. Had it in over 30k miles and there is hardly any dirt on it, just in one spot.

Paper OEM seems best, WIX are good too. When I clean my filters I take off the inlet tube downstream to examine if its dusty. If a lifetime filter is needed I prefer the AEM, but keep in mind none will filter quite as well as paper.
