in June I had the truck go into limp mode with the secondary air injection pumps gone bad. Toyota wanted 3k$ to replace so I installed the Hewitt bypass kit. No issues for 6 weeks.

This past week the truck got low on gas, I coasted into the station. Ever since it will not start well, or at all. Hitting 1k rpm the bogging out. It sat for 3 days and then I had no issues til yesterday and did it again.

Had it towed to a new shop, charging me 125$ for diag, then told me it’s this bypass kit and charging another 125$ to take it off and run again! He was a dick about it citing my use on these forums as me not knowing anything because he’s AchgdsRF certified.

Fuel pumps testing fine, as it did previously a week ago. No clue what’s going on, but when he removes the bypass kit and tells me it’s throwing codes for the sais, I’ll known that’s not the only issue because when that was not working it at least started, albeit in limp mode.

    Any ideas?

Try calling Hewitt, they may have some things to check. Too bad the bypass is removed for troubleshooting. It may be another issue, but I'd start with Hewitt to make sure all's good with the bypass kit or if they have run across your issue. Get the codes and that might help understand where the problem is.
