Has anyone installed aftermarket seat heaters and wired them up to some factory switches? Is it possible? Part number for the switches if so? Any and all info is appreciated!!!

All right I’m going to try to revive this thread. I plan on having aftermarket leather and seat heater switches installed and I’m looking for good ideas for a clean aftermarket seat heater switch location. I was thinking the blank in the center but wanted to see if anyone has any cleaner looking options.

At first I thought using a factory blank would be the cleanest option, but that looks really good!

Yeah, I thought that but only see one open slot, unless you swap out a different switch panel to add more switches

If I were to go with the blank, I’d prefer to use only one blank. There is a factory switch that controls two seats within one switch as well as an aftermarket, but I don’t know if the factory would work or if the aftermarket is good quality.

Those separate rockers look good in the spot you posted. I think that is the way!

Here’s where I put my switch- it’s a 3 way switch that allows independent operation of each front seat heater. 3BB83374-6876-4775-8B1E-8B7A2BE6E34E.jpg

The Canadian seat heater switch looks like this:

There is also this aftermarket switch that controls 2 seat heats but fits in one blank switch:

Looks good, I wonder if it is compatible with an aftermarket kit. Hopefully the installer will know.

Looks good, hopefully it would work with the aftermarket kit. I need to do some digging.

It was a kit I purchased through Amazon. I’ll look for a link and update the thread.

    That's where I put mine...
I felt putting them in the panel with 12 volt plugs too hard to reach and too hard to see while driving. YMMV

    corwv1ob_zpsdajt4wcz_48bca738373a7ef907e01b257e866ba3bb5bd93d.jpg 0rjnegpa_zpscuofg07t_e7c8f0c24a872167cff9a9c1f00131049e8c0a3c.jpg

Also install seat heaters yourself, don't pay anyone to do it.
If I can do it, anyone can do it..

    Generic Rosta install video.
What I used several years ago...
I tapped into the console 12 volt plug, with a fused line.
    No issues at all..

Great ideas and mounting locations. For those with a Pro, how hard was the install for the leather seats?

I only did the fronts in mine but it's not hard. You unclip the bottom, cut the hog rings. The back unzips and you have a few hog rings to cut. Get in position, cut where you need to get the new rings in then button it back up. It was my second time doing it so it went pretty quick.
