Disclaimer: Yes, I used the search function and couldn't find it, so either it's not here, or I missed it and I'm a big fat dummy. :p

I'm in the process of shopping for aftermarket rims. I'll likely either end up going with Icon Rebounds or the TRD Pro BBS rims. With that said, I've had a flat or two and it would drive me insane to have 3 sweet rims...and a silly looking steel rim. LOL But what I don't know is whether the spare tire thingy (I dunno what it's called) will fit through the aftermarket rims to hold it.

Additionally, I'll be stepping up the tire size - nothing crazy. Probably going from the stock 275/65R18 to 275/70R18 or 285/75R18. Will that tire size fit within the current spare location as well?

The center bore should be plenty wide for the spare tire hanger to fit through on almost all aftermarket and OEM wheels. You may have to figure out storage for the center cap though.

As far as fitment, 275/70 will fit no problem. 285/75 will require you to bend or remove the guides towards the front of the truck, but it'll fit.
