Has anyone added an aftermarket engine oil cooler to their truck? I seem to find lots of tranny cooler info, not much for the engine oil. Going to be going the Magnuson route soon. Also, better oil filtration info? By pass oil filters? Remote filters with better filtration?

The truck already has an engine oil cooler. They do make remote kits, but I had a SC on my 2010 for 50k+ miles and never thought I needed a separate oil cooler.

mine is 2019, it seems to be integrated into the radiator, thus not as efficient as a stand alone.

Hello, thanks. That does not look very effective. Better than nothing I guess.

Anyone aware of a good direction to go for a better filter/cooler process? I am hoping to keep this for ever. Get it paid off, then maybe get a daily driver... Want it to go the distance.

You can hop over in the performance section too if you are concerned about cooling. Lots of folks running S/C trucks.

@TonyNCo what is your usecase? Are you planning to drag race your truck?

No, no drag racing. Slow speed off roading, and live in Colorado. Towing sometimes.

What output are you looking to get out of your Maggie blower? Most of the time a S/C Tundra runs like a normal Tundra. Blown Tundras typically have a bypass so you aren't running boosted unless you are dogging the throttle. The heat generation is minimal unless you are doing back to back WOT pulls. If you are not running WOT for extend periods of time I would leave it stock but monitor if you are having issues after the blower install.

I would consider opting into getting @Genuine Cooling Systems transmission kit for towing. 2019+ don't have a traditional trans cooler. The kit is made of mostly OEM parts but has a higher rated oil cooler. You can read about the kit here:
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/5-7l-transmission-cooler-kits.60550/

I have a Stage 1 Harrop supercharged Tundra and even after spirited driving the engine is never close to overheating but the transmission does spike up in temps. If you are running trails in the desert you may have a case for and engine oil cooler but right now I think you are looking for a problem that doesn't exist.

Hello, just looking to add some HP to it. A few years ago, I had a supercharged Pontiac Grand Prix. It was great. Not looking to get into all the aftermarket stage this that and the other. I have seen the genuine cooling system one. Probably will go with that. I tow from time to time going up into the rockies.

Technically the Maggie doesn't have stages so you won't have to worry about that; their offering is typically the blower install and the tune. I've seen it installed without a tune but I don't think it is recommended by the manufacturer nor do they cover it with their extend warranty.

For engine cooling (not necessarily oil cooling) folk go with a thicker aluminum radiator and some even use coolant additives. I think these are cheaper solutions. For heat management some of the other solutions get expensive quickly and appear to only be necessary for racing where your engine is in boost for longer or more frequent durations. You can always ask the shop doing your supercharger install what they recommend.

You may find this video helpful in understanding how the stock oil cooler works; seems like their is risk of moving the engine out of optimal operating temps:
