Hi. After a lot of research I am thinking of pulling the trigger on this front and rear dashcam from Fitcamx. I don't want to pay the approx. $400 price for the OEM dashcam so was looking for an alternative. I like that this model has a custom molded plastic trim surround to make the install look OEM and is designed specifically for the 2022+ Tundra. Also, being that I have the Platinum trim level, the camera plugs directly into the factory harness for power without any splicing. Does anyone have any experience with the Fitcam brand dashcams? Or, do you recommend a different aftermarket dashcam? Any advice or input is appreciated. Thanks.

Got one. Installation was stressful trying not to break anything plastic. But otherwise pretty simple. Took a couple videos to test but havent used it much for anything yet. You forget its there.

Cool. Thanks! It’s good to hear that you do not have any issues with it.

I was also looking at the fitcamx for my truck but I saw a post that someone was having an issue with their safety cameras behind the mirror and the dealership said it was because of the dashcam and it's not a warranty claim. I had fitcamx on my previous car and it was fine but would have some bugs. I ended up getting an oem Toyota dashcam for the ease of installation and peace of mind. I caught a really good deal on ebay for the oem dashcam. I dont see the point in having the rear camera because you can't really catch much with truck bed covering most of it

Thanks bro! You make a good point. Technically, I do already have a camera in the rear of the truck over the bed because I have the 360 cameras and I don’t want any warranty or obstruction issues with the front camera. I’ll just go with the OEM version. I see a good deal on eBay for $240 without the backing plate so think I’ll just get that and call it a day.

Yea if you can find a listing with "make offer" you can get it much cheaper. I got mine for $185 and it was taken off a new land cruiser. I got the backing plate with it and just used some gorilla tape for the adhesive. Plus it's plug and play, there's a white plug in the headliner that you plug onto and you're done.
