If I leave the gas station and drive on 55 mph roads for awhile, my mpg says 15-16. It’s the stop and go that kills my mileage. So yeah highway mpg will be higher.

Depends on how quickly you accelerate, how fast you drive and the winds. A recent trip totaling 75 miles with the first 4 miles of 35 mph stop and go with maybe 5 miles of 55, 15 at 65 and the rest at 70 we trip average 19.0 according to the truck. My truck is always within .2 MPG compared to hand calcs. All driven slightly above posted limits. My wife, myself and a 4.5 cu ft fridge in the bed. I run 5 psi over in the tires too. Here's tank average at about 140 miles since fillup.20220430_202844.jpg

Your average will definitely increase when you're on the freeway. I've noticed that too. Then when you start driving roads, the average will most likely go down.

Way more details need to be stated. Average speed, terrain, pedal heaviness, temperature, tire pressure etc.

Not that we need another MPG thread though...

Certainly highway is going to increase your average, especially around 55-60 mph.

My 2018 DC was capable of decent MPGs if I drove with fuel efficiency in mind. A couple times on all highway trips I hit 20 MPG, more commonly in the 19s.

Unfortunately my 2021 CM, it seems like no matter how I drive and how ideal the conditions are, I can't get higher than 17 MPG for a tank average. I realize the CM is heavier than the DC, but I think it's something more. My 2018 also felt like it had more pep than the 2021 does.
