For those of you that replaced the sway bar mounts with the afe hooks, is a bridle necessary? I haven't done any offloading since my early 20s (25 years ago). Back then everything had hooks and we had chains and usually a tractor close by. So the new ropes and all that is new to be but I've bought some along with soft shackles but wondering if a bridle was necessary with these hooks.

I keep a soft shackle in my "ditch kit" - have not needed it yet though. Did some serious off roading in the mountains during elk season. I pretty much have resigned myself to the fact that I will crush the bumper trim if needing recovery. Hopefully it is soft enough to pop back into place. My version does not have the air dam, so it would not be that costly of a repair. Probably the least of my concerns if I am getting yanked out of something.

Yeah, I'm not that concerned about the plastic really. Where I WOULD get stuck if I were to, the incoming tide of saltwater would bother me way more. . More concerned with the hooks and the actual mounting of them being sufficient for snatching on just one as opposed to bridging the two
