I’m pretty new to off roading and was hoping for some advice on wheels and tires for my truck. Pictures for attention as this is kind of a long post, sorry.

    I have a 2022 Tundra Limited Offroad.
New coilovers and UCA are in the works. Trying to figure out what wheels and tires to go with. I know people have been able to fit 17” wheels as opposed to the 20” that came stock, I need that sidewall! I was thinking of something like method 701. That’s their ”bead grip” wheels. Had also considered method 106 actual beadlocks. Not sure if those will actually work as they have a -44 offset. I’m willing to spend more to get the right thing, then again I’m new to this so I don’t know what I will actually find useful. I’m thinking I’ll end up doing the type of offroading that is more lower speed technical stuff but not super aggressive rock crawling if that makes any sense.

Had been thinking ridge grapplers for the tire. I know a lot of people with my truck run 35” and some even 37”. I’d like to go as big as I can with a 2-3” lift but without destroying my fenders as the tires run through their range of motion on the trial. How do I determine what size tires can work? Is it just buy them and try them? I’m looking to Tundra forums as well.

Sorry for the long winded post and I appreciate you if you’ve read this far!

Do the methods if you like them, I did 17x8.5 703’s wrapped in 35” tires and using Revere Overland’s 20% discount code for the Methods. Ridge grapplers seem to be fine. I’ve had great success with Toyo C/T’s and AT’s6D3BA25A-653E-4DBF-A46B-CE8EBDF0FC66.jpg

Do the first Method wheel picture you posted. It has a little more of a timeless look. Keep it simple. My next wheel is going to be the Raceline Aero in machined/polished finish. I have a feeling the machined finish is about to come back considering the new options hitting the market lately.
