    Hi all,

I'm looking at purchasing a 2020 or 2021 (V8) Tundra with Crew Cab. Any tips on how to inspect and/or what to look for?

    Thanks,
    Gregg

If you don't know what you are looking for then you need to take a buddy with you who does know what he/she is looking at.
At the very least take a decent code reader with you and make sure some goon didn't clear a load of codes 3 miles ago.

2020/21? Nothing to look for yet, just buy it. Well, unless the cats were stolen and replaced with aftermarket. Could be hit or miss.

I do have a code reader :) I'm just coming around to the fact of how much they're charging. Hard to accept that north of $40k gets you a used truck! That may be just because I haven't bought a car in 20 years.

    Welcome from NY.

Get a Carfax report of the vehicle.
Take it to a independent repair shop or a Toyota dealership and have them go over it.
    Good luck.

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! Definitely take someone with you who knows trucks inside and out. The seller should allow you to have a mechanic thoroughly inspect it.

    Function before sparkle.
If it’s low mileage, look for an easy start, no oil leaks, no accident damage and the transfer case shifts into 4H and 4L. Otherwise there aren’t many issues with those years.
