thank you for your input, i test drove it and the power was insane, 420 hp . had a f150 with nothing but problems. have a 2016 tundra trd and love the truck

 

I have owned mustangs for 40 years, i say go for it and have fun.

I would have a tendency to get a lot of tickets with that car....Its bad enough in the Tundra.

 

I would say yes, as long as you stick with a 5.0 or a 4.6 or the GT500, been a lot of problems with the new GT350, stay away from those.

if you can stretch budget a bit more....any love for the rc f? you'll get a NA 5.0L 8spd v8 w/ 467hp and all the awesome toyota motor corp reliability. super fun to drive in manual mode sport +. you can get a 2015 for mid 30's, maybe find one for low 30's with more miles. worth a test drive unless you've always wanted a mustang.

rc f's are also pretty rare. you see mustangs everywhere you go....you'll rarely see one of these. mine is a 2017 but pretty much same as a 2015. didn't even show the interior which comes with carbon fiber trim standard and most come with mark levinson sound. 800+ watts, 10" sub 17 speakers overall. thumps! good luck!

 

That mustang has a Chinese built trans that has all kinds of problems FYI

Slick car, but there is something special about that third pedal. I really think that if I get a weekend toy kind of car it'll be a Challenger RT with the 5.7 Hemi. Properly cared for that motor is solid to 200k (I've seen it) but you have to watch all the other bits on a Mopar. All personal taste.

Last I knew (years back) the Mustangs used a Mazda transmission. Is it manufactured in China?

Tundra will do 60 mph in 2nd, but at significantly less than 35K rpm.

Check out the Subaru WRX. Ultra reliable, as long as you don't get stupid with the mods, and definitely a poor man's race car. I miss mine. lol

My choice would be a Camaro with the 6.2L V8 and a 6 speed manual.

 

I dig the look of the camaro up to a few years ago, but I sat in one and the visibility is just terrible. Plus, I'm ok with old man fast these days.
