I got hit by someone ignoring a stop sign yesterday and they took out my rear passenger wheel/tire. No injuries and so far it looks like my Tundra suffered very little damage - but still going to have the axle, suspension, brakes, rotors, etc... checked out.

Anyways, I'm going to use this "opportunity" to get some new wheels all around. Question - is there any advantage to swapping out the stock spare wheel with one of my three remaining TRD Off Road wheels? I'll be going with a some SCS wheels so matching it isn't a factor.

    Thanks.

Any suggestions out there on if there's a compelling reason to swap out the spare wheel? Also, anyone know the largest tire size that can be stuffed in the spare location without cutting stuff?

    Thanks.

Sorry to hear about the hit but it's a good reason to get some new wheels. The best reasons I can see to swap out your spare wheel... the TRD OR wheel is aluminum so it won't rust like the steel spare and it won't look like a temporary donut if you actually need to use it. If I remember correctly, I think you can fit a 295 under there without any modifications.
