Adding the tail light push button tailgate release?

Is this possible? It’s just a piece of plastic on the SR trim.

 

No, most likely wiring, control modules and a new tail light. I’m not sure but I believe you need the tech package for there to be a button. Not gonna be cheap just hit the fob or handle.

 

Like the Ford guys wanting ACC and they figured out how to add it on. Harness's, sensor, get the right hex code parameters and easily hundreds of man hours put in to it and a some got it to work. The parts were under $800.00 but a few pulled it off and some did not as the hex code if not done right can brick a ford with one key stroke.

I'm sure someone here has done the tail gate button add on.......or will figure it out.
