Has anyone added a Homelink mirror to a 2014 SR5? Curious if there is a harness in the headliner. My mirror is delaminating and mine as well upgrade if I can.

I have a 2014 SR so mine may differ, but I did add a homelink mirror with compass. Long story short, at least in my case, there was no extra harness for the mirror OR for the lighted sun visors. Interestingly enough though, there was a harness for the fog lights, as well as a powered driver seat (no seat warming harness). YMMV though if you have the SR5, but I don't think it'd be that hard to check - just take out two screws from the overhead console and stick your hand around

Where did you pull the power/ground for your mirror? Did you tap in to the dome light or run it to the fuse box?

Check the build link in my signature.
Holy crap that’s a steal. I might pick one up just to get the compass back in the mirror.

I've been yanking Gentex mirrors from UPull for $5 and installing them in multiple vehicles. Most are 3 wires, ground and 2 hots for the mirror and homelink functions. Just avoid the GM/Chevy iterations as they have a bunch of additional OnStar and other sensor wiring.

$25 shipped is pretty slick for auto dimming and a compass.

I ran it to the fuse box. I've already ran power for my dash cam (SR model, so no Dongart for me). Figured I'd just run another wire to the fuse box the same way.

Thanks. What fuse did you tap and did you use something like this? https://www.amazon.com/Nilight-5003...ile+mini+fuse+tap&qid=1677168924&sr=8-1-spons

I saw others who only wanted the Homelink to work with the key on in case someone breaks into the truck. Can I just wire the hot and constant to one switched fuse?

I hooked it up to the ACC 7.5 fuse using something like what you linked. The dashcam and the homelink only come on when the power is switched on. You should be able to wire the hot and constant to one switched fuse for the mirror, I'm pretty sure that's what I did too. I will warn though that I think the cheap homelink/compass mirrors from the Kia/Hyundais have the older homelink, so if you have a newer garage door manufactured after I think 2010, the homelink won't work unless you get some kind of signal step down.

I have one of those newer Chamberlain MyQ garage door motors and the HomeLink didn't work on that until I bought some man in the middle product from chamberlain for the house. It's kind of a PITA because it doesn't retain it's memory through blackouts, so if you get a power outage you have to go through the set up process all over again.

Thanks. I have an antique garage door opener. I believe the mirror is Homelink version 4, someone may be able to verify. Mirror model HFCHL4.
