    Hey guys,
In preparation for a new winch bumper and winch + my Engel frig in the bed, I am adding a Genesis dual-battery unit. It's their 3rd generation version.
Has anyone here used this style of dual-battery and isolator or are you all Redarc converts?

Joe, did you install the Genesis dual battery kit? I'm contemplating the same.

How were the install instructions? Would love to see photos on it. What batteries did you go with?

The install instructions were fine from what I remember. It was 2 or 3 years ago. It was a bit of a pain - and it’s a *really* tight fit. You have to move the fuse box about an inch back to make room. And drill holes to install nutserts for the battery tray. But it works. I believe the install insts are on their website.

I went with the Fullriver batteries they have on their website. At the time I was able to get them cheaper from Amazon. They’ve been great for past 2/3 years.

I opted for the “green screen” display that you can buy separately. Run a wire into the cab & you have a digital readout of both batts, as well as push-button for manually connecting or isolating the batteries. Handy. I’ll try to upload pics later if I remember.

Also, I had the first generation (or maybe 2nd?) setup. After they released the new gen, I upgraded to it - last fall I believe. Both have worked flawlessly.

    Eowade,
I did install the newest generation of Genesis dual-battery set-up. You are required to go on-line for instructions, however they are very detailed with step-by-step color instructions. They tell you that the hardest part is moving the fus box back 3/4th of an inch. That took a moment to do but otherwise, everything was straight forward. Highly recommended.
There monitor system allows you to monitor and operate every function from the cab. Brilliant!

Just as is your response. Look on YouTube yourself and quit asking others to spoonfeed you entertainment.

This is really all you get for instructions and reference to Genesis website for YouTube videos for Tundra installations. Here are more pics upload_2023-6-7_10-39-58.jpg the end result of MY installation.

This pic shows where one can mount the monitor switch as I did on my rig. Easy ready access to your batteries status and it's function. Ie: auto, battery #1 voltage, #2 voltage.

This is the connection terminal. I will connect my winch cables to the largest posts on the left and as you can see, my frig is wired to those on the right.

Well you're just a peach. A whopping 12 messages too but given your propensity for being the opposite of your username, we should be thankful it isn't much more than that.

    Sorry folks,
I must add one caveat. My Tundra is 2018 w/LED headlights that require moving the fuse box 3/4" toward the ABS solenoids because of the larger backing of these headlights in particular. Genesis includes the necessary hardware should you be in the same year of 1794 editions. All the hardware is excellent quality and includes a few extra nuts and bolts.
    Thanks for your tolerance.
