    Here the facebook page. You can see all kinds of tundras off road using their bumpers. The customers are also tagged in their posts so nothing to hide here. You can just message them and ask if the bumper fit right or any other questions. These guys have been around a while and have sold many units. Do your own research! Also feel free to contact ADD. They have very good customer service so I'm sure they can answer your questions.

    The stock bumper has a gap of 13-15mm from the body panels for a reason. I measured 3 trucks and measured from the body panel near front tires using a caliper; measurements are 13mm, 14mm and 15mm. The current ADD stealfighter design will leave a gap of about 6mm or less. So yes, it will rub as is and most people just live with it. The front and cabin are on body mounts so they flex. I modded mine and ended up getting 14mm. You can see the flex in the pix with OEM bumper. Pix was taken during my 37x12.5 test fit for nip and tuck on 3/1.5" lift.

    There was a sliver of gap but I'm sure it would hit with dynamic load.

    I basically slotted the hole for vertical movement, to drop it down. You will also need to chamfer the bottom of the mounting plate on the mating side, because in the process of moving the bumper down, it will bottom out against the bump on the frame. I also made spacers for the bottom mount, where the faCorey tow hooks go.

    After this experience and C4 install on my bro truck (which only managed 12mm gap even though it's vertically slotted mounting holes), I would have fabricated my own. This is the main reason I fabricated my own high clearance rear bumper (HCRB). It turns out to be cheaper, better designed and has proper gap (follows the OEM at minimum)

    Parts for the HCRB are getting welded. I was hoping this week but can't complain when asking for favors. I did mount the main single structure, which locate the whole assy to the truck, and fits perfectly. Hard to mess it up when you measure directly. Every other parts gets positioned and welded to the main structure, so I know it will work out ok. The lower mounts are slotted 1/4" in both directions so it should be fine. My measurement better be within 1/4 inch; otherwise, I shouldn't be an engineer, lol.

    Thank you for being so open with your experiences here. It's great to be able to get unbiased info on these kinds of things. So many people are unwilling to say that anything they personally purchased was anything but the absolute best thing ever, so it is refreshing to hear constructive criticism on a product.

    To that end, cuz I'm no engineer, I wanted to ask for clarification on a couple things:

    When you said you had to "chamfer the mounting plate on the mating side" is that the winch mounting plate? I ask because I don't plan to get a winch bumper, so I am hoping that I could get away with just slotting the mounting holes to drop the bumper down a bit.

    How bad would you say the rubbing is? Just paint damage, or will it put enough pressure to potentially break the pieced under the headlights or the grille? Again, if I can just protect the pieces under the headlights from paint damage, I might still be down for one of these bumpers.

    And finally, because A.D.D. is offering a solid discount and free shipping on all products, do you know if the clearance is an issue on all models? I'm really eyeing the Honey Badger front bumper.... Unless, of course, you plan to be designing and producing bumpers for us. :boink:
