So I’ve been working on my new to me 2000 limited access cab, removed the front diff to install a spartan locker and replace the bad needle bearing with a bushing. Long story short everything was super grimy and crusty and I wound up breaking off the nipple to the add vent. Is it possible to drill it out and add a screw in vent or am I stuck buying a whole new setup. I really don’t want to spend 400+ on a new oem actuator. Are there any decent aftermarket options?

The diff vent is 1/8 inch NPT thread. No reason you shouldn’t be able to drill it out and retap. Might also try just drilling the stuck part with a reverse bit. Just don’t break off an easy out

It’s the plastic vent on the axle disconnect that broke, hopefully no danger of breaking anything other than the plastic that’s already messed up
