Question please- i have always had a bullbar on each of my trucks, i have had a 2022 tundra for about a year now and when i went in to get one, the guy that owned truck place said that it would interfere with the adapted cruise. i said i didnt mind cutting it off, which he responded and said it would still set off all type of codes and stuff like that when it was cranked?

any experience with either of this?

    thanks in advance.

It depends on the height of the bull bar. If the bar doesn't block the sensor in the grill you will generally be fine. With that said, there are MANY aftermarket bumpers available that protect the truck and work with the Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) sensors.

Disconnecting the sensor effectively disables the TSS system. You will get numerous messages on your dash every time you drive the vehicle that are really hard to ignore.

thanks. i was not necessarily looking to disconnect it as much as just cut the adapted cruise off, which i havent looked into it but was guessing it was something i do on the dash.
