Being a short guy does anyone have trouble accessing or even looking in bed from the side without pulling out some collapsible steps that are not attached to truck. I have running boards with those 20" wheels makes it ruff sometimes and they don't go back enough to see inside bed from side. When i put down tailgate it covers the bumper so have to pull out portable step too. Can a j step be put on a 2022 tundra limited hybrid or does anyone have any ideas? Thanks. Smileytn1

I’m not sure if it fits 2022 but I went with Dee Zee step, it does not fold up.IMG_0590.jpg

I highly recommend getting the step. Makes a huge difference.

I like my OEM step. I was surprised how much I missed the step in the tailgate of my F350 when I sold it and bought my 2015 Tundra

Why not just step on the wheels and tires? That's what I do and I'm pretty sure my truck is a lot taller than yours.

Well, only 2” taller than you and my high clearance bumper requires me to do a high river dance kick just to get my foot on it, then use my kungfu grip to hang onto the bedside to pull myself up.

One thing I miss about my F150 is the built in step on the tailgate. Made is so easy for whole family to get in and out.

They look close to being the same but they are not. You can definitely see differences in the aluminum castings.
