I have 2015 DC(manual AC controls ) and every time I start up its in recirculate . This is with heat or AC and not set to MAX . Is this normal ? It also takes a few seconds for the fan to kick up to hi setting ?

    thanks in advance !

Did the fan just start acting up to where it would take a while for the fan to get to high? Your ac ecu may be going bad or try amd drop the blower motor in the hvac and clean it. I think the recirculation button is awlays on when you start your truck.

@FLTrucks No the fan has always been slow , it is just not instant HI when you crank it . it gradually goes to high in a reasonable time . It may just be me coming from my 4Runner . Thanks again

Maybe. I Just never really noticed it. I know with my auto ac it will gradually go up to high.

Mine does both. It also defaults to recirc when I turn the ac on via the button. (Max ac is always forced recirc for max cooling)

At first thought the delayed hi was a glitch, but a friends does it as well.

My fan ramps up also but I thought it was because I have a Limited with a digital temp set, the recirc is designed to be on at outside temps over 75 but that doesn't explain the heat.

Try adjusting the temp dial at least one or more clicks away from the "max ac" setting. Max ac will always default to engage the recirculating function.
