    2018 Tundra 4.6 sr5
Hello everyone I’m new to the forum, I have a 2018 Tundra sr5 4.6 ltr. Last night I was backing up my driveway and I heard a loud tinging noise. Tracked it down to the ac compressor. I shut the truck off restarted it and the noise went away but I noticed the ac light was blinking. I never turned the ac on which was my first concern but now every time I run my defroster or turn the ac on everything runs fine for about 10 seconds and then the ac light starts flashing again and the idle jumps to about 1100 rpms. I did a little research last night and tried swapped the mag clutch relay in the fuse box under the hood. It didn’t change anything. The pulley seems to be free on the ac compressor, I don’t see or smell the belt smoking or burning and as long as the I don’t turn on the defroster or ac the truck runs completely normal. My first question is before I just order and swap the ac compressor is they anything else I should check and second is it okay to run the truck in the meantime while I figure this out?
