I have a 2005 Toyota Tundra with almost 275k miles on it. About a week ago my ABS light came on, then yesterday my speedometer, odometer and cruise control stopped working. Could it be the ABS sensor or Speed control sensor? are they one and the same? If this is the problem, where specifically are they located?

Sounds like a speed sensor to me (or ABS sensor, I’ve heard them used interchangeably), I’ve had 2 vehicles now where your problems above are very similar to what I experienced, and they are all in line with a faulty speed sensor.

if you have a scan tool, many times you can plug that in, and see each wheels speed, and more than likely one will be showing ‘0 mph’ while moving (aka a bad sensor).

there is a speed sensor located on each hub, just need to find which one is problematic, preferably with said scan tool.
