I just bought a 2008 tundra. Sometimes when I accelerate, the traction control light flashes and I lose power. When I let off for a second I can go and accelerate like normal. Also when I turn too hard it flashes and beeps at me and if I hit the brakes the abs goes crazy and makes me swerve all over the road. The only thing I could think of causing this is that the tires are slightly different sizes in the front and the back. Could that cause issues? Or could it be something else?

The issues you're encountering are likely linked to the differences in tire sizes between the front and rear wheels. When tires vary in diameter, even slightly, it can confuse the vehicle's traction control and ABS systems, which rely on consistent wheel speeds from all four tires. This discrepancy can cause the traction control to engage unnecessarily, leading to a loss of power during acceleration. Similarly, the ABS may activate improperly, causing erratic braking and potentially making the vehicle swerve unpredictably

Like how different? Are they the same brand/model/size and just worn differently or did you make a big boo boo?

To resolve these issues, ensure all tires are uniform in size and tread wear. If the problem persists after confirming tire uniformity, it may indicate a fault in one of the wheel speed sensors, wiring, or the ABS module itself.
