Bought both of these filters from the same dealership. The one on the right I bought a year or so ago, the one on left I bought today. Anyone know if there were changes to the filter other than color? Flow, particulate capacity etc? Thanks

Even the pleats are different, the older version looks and feels thicker than the new one. Also, the new pleats have gaps in between them

I don't have it handy but Toyota released a letter to dealers stating they did update the oil filter. Nothing wrong with the yellow (older) but going forward they will be orange. Someone may have it and post the letter. Both are good.

Thanks for the info. Myself comparing the old and new filters. There is a very apparent difference between the two. The old version definitely looks and feels thicker in material. I’m hoping that the new ones filter/flow as well or better than the previous iteration.
