A/c electrical connector removal

A rat decided to take a bite out of my a/c compressor wire and killed my a/c on a 2022 camry. ( it’s still 100 degrees here in AZ in October )the dealership wanted $615 plus tax to solder 1 wire - no thanks! Any way I popped a cover off of the connector and can’t figure out how to remove it . There is a c ring down in the flange area is this the secret? I am extremely good at destroying electrical connectors BTW so does anyone have any experience unhooking this? -thanks

 

Any chance the release clip is on the top side and not the bottom.. Understanding we're looking from the bottom.

 

Thats what I was hoping for no luck squeezing and pulling .

 

I think you might get away with a small vice grip to hold that tab down and jiggle it out. New clips still have all that resistance that you need to be Goro to pull off 2 hand to hold that small clip and 2 hands to pull the connector.

 

4 hands would be super useful ! lol , I might just pop that c- ring out and see what happens…..
