I just had a 55K oil change and rotation. My service advisor stated at 60K the injector service $106, induction service, $120 and PCV valve change $295 are due. Does the PVC valve change seem high for a 5.7?

Yes, in my opinion, it’s a $6 part Fromm cool springs, and is easy to access. Unless they are doing something idk about too

Every last bit of it smells like a smoke job to me.

I know tech changes. But I still drive my 1997 Toyota T-100 (3.4L V6) and have never done a fuel injector service or (just for the record) a mass air flow sensor cleaning. At 262,000 miles and still rockin' the juke box.

Yep, blowing smoke up your backside. Not sure what induction service is but the other 2 are only needed if not running right. They are just to pad the dealers bottom line

At 60k, they should change oil and filter, air filter, cabin filter, and rotate the tires. If the truck is ran in hard conditions or tows a lot, then possibly a drain and fill or the trans fluid and that is about it.

Just had the 60k done our 4 runner, should be about the same for Tundra. 3 dealers quoted anywhere from $189 to $249. Went to the cheapest for the first time and they did everything mentioned above in less than hour besides trans drain and did a good job surprisingly!!!

Agreed. That stuff doesn't need to be done unless the truck is running rough. Put some fuel injection cleaner in the truck a few times a year and you should be good.

Thanks. I run Lucas fuel injector cleaner every three or four tanks. I have no issues. Really wasn't sure about the pvc valve

    NO.

Way way way way way way to often. IMHO.

Just run a tank of Chevron with Techron instead. Or, if you're running Chevron pretty consistently then just........keep going and stop the additive and save yourself all the money.

    Tastefully enhanced...
What about MMO (Mystery Marvel Oil)? One fuel tank every oil change ran with MMO...any thoughts/concerns with that treatment?
