5speed or 6speed trans. ?

Can I find out if I have a 5spd or 6spd transmission by my VIN? 2007 ,SR5 5.7L

 

Put your truck in manual shift mode. Bump the shifter forward and see what it says on your dash readout. It will say 6

 

I can't find anything about put in the truck in manual shift mode.
My two attempts to follow your instructions showed a "4" in the little window on the dash.
So I'm thinking I either didn't do it right or I'll continue to search further on the subject. Thanks for your input.

 

5.7 comes only with AB60E/F, which is 6 speed.

 

if you push the gear selector up 2 times or hold it, it will show you the yellow brick road brother. They're 6spd transmissions.
