Well, I got an email from Toyota saying it was time to bring in the grey ghost Tundra I purchased back in December.
I only have 2k on her but they still wanted it in for a check up.
Drove her over to the maintenance bay area and it was actually nice. They knew who I was as I pulled up, asking me to leave the keys in the truck and go on in for a cup of coffee and or doughnuts..
Asked me if anything I had issues with which I said NO and they took her away.
I had one cup of coffee and glanced over all the TRD gear they were showing off then sat down to go over my losses in the market for today.
It wasn't more than 50 minutes then they called me on my phone that the truck was ready to go.
They changed the oil, check all fluid levels, commented that they like the cover I put on the bed and I was off and on the way home.
Very pleasant experience unlike my wife's Acura shop which requires you to make their techs take a polygraph every time you have to go in for that POS.

I bought my Tundra from a dealer hours from us. If I was close to them I still would go to another dealership. The one closest to us have a scheduling problem. It can take hours to get oil changed so I drive an extra 30 minutes to another dealer (Stapp Interstate) that is real easy to deal with, just like you described. It sure makes a difference.

Interesting they changed the oil at 5k. Just had my second Toyota care yesterday 1yr/10k with 4300 currently on the odometer, which they did change the oil. 5k is just check the filters and inspection according to my 2020 manual. Glad you had a good experience, I'm still on the fence long term because there is a very good independent shop I've used for several years that just charges for work, parts at cost, so will likely go back once the freebees are done.

Are you sure they changed out the oil at 2K? Did you request the oil change?

i just had my 8K 6 months check up on my 2021 CM and all they did was check tires, brakes, air filters, lube up all door henges and all lights but never changed the oil as they said it will be done at a 10K km.

No, he told me they changed oil. One thing I noticed while walking around, no Tundras I could see for sale.
They had some badass Forerunners though.

I only had 2200 miles on her also.
Maybe I used some initially, which is normal in new motors.

They only change my oil @ 10k. I liked the dealership here so much I signed up for another 25k miles of toyota care.. At 40,000 miles now on my 2019 and I have had zero issues with the truck, its been perfect, like it should be.
