I have a 2013 tundra with a 5.7. the truck has been relatively problem free in the 3 years I've owned it.

Friday, I drove to work just fine, no problems, has 3/4 of a tank of gas. I leave at the end of the day and I hit my remote start (aftermarket, was installed prior to my ownership) and the truck started and then stalled. I thought it was weird but it's happened once or twice in my ownership. So I get in and it starts fine, I reverse out of the parking spot and start driving down the road, and it died within 15 seconds of driving. By die, I mean, it's like it wasnt being supplied fuel. Since then, all it will do is it will start, and die within 5 seconds. If it starts, I can rev it to the redline no problem, but still dies in 5 seconds.

So, what I've tried so far: disconnected the battery several times, cleaned the MAF, cleaned the throttle body, dropped the tank and replaced the pump with the OEM pump I changed for another problem I had one time (stalled due to dirty TB), attempted to test the fuel pressure coming out of the regulator on the passenger side fuel rail (didn't work well, the kit I have does seem to work with the quick disconnect fittings). I attempted a tps reset. Maybe I'm forgetting something, but I've tried everything I can think of.

After replacing the aftermarket pump that was in it, with the OEM pump I had, it still only runs for 5 seconds, but now sometimes instead of stalling, it will sit there stumbling at a very low rpm, like 200, and then eventually dies.

To me, it seems like the pump runs enough to prime the system to run, but then isn't able to supply the proper amount of fuel to continue running. How can I diagnose if the fuel pressure regulator on the rail, and the fuel pump control module, are operating properly? What else can I try?

The fuel is fine, the tank isn't dirty

Had similar issue on my 2011. It would run for 5 to 15 seconds and cut off. It did it a few times and then ran normal over the course of 6 months. Eventually it would only run for 5 seconds and not run at all. It ended up being the fuel pump control module.

Ugh, that's the last thing I want it to be, that's expensive. Does anyone know if the fuel pump control module is interchangeable between an 2008 4.7 tundra and a 2013 5.7? My dad has an 08 I could easily snag the module from to test it.

Looks like the part # for your truck is 89571-34070.
    Part # for Dad’s would be 89571-34020.

I have been wrong before but this is what a quick search revealed. $100 cheaper for the 5.7 tho
