2011 Tundra 4x4 with AB60E that I'm having issues with. It had a P2714 code which I replaced the F-Trim solenoid and now has a P0761. It won't shift past 3rd. I used to be able to clear it and get it to shift to 4th but it gotten worse & doesn't improve after clearing. I've changed the filter & flushed the fluid. Even disassembled, cleaned & rinstalled the valve body. I ordered a C solenoid and will replace that along with the output speed sensor. This will be my final attemps as this trans has over 400k. Maybe a TCM. It's flashing the Hi/Lo light sporadically. One thing I noticed that there were only 7 Check balls in the upper valve body & most if the diagrams I've seen have 8 check balls. Anyone else have pics of 7 or 8 in their valve bodies? I have alse removed, cleaned & checked all connectors associated with the transmission & tcm. If the sensors or TCM don't fix it, time for another transmission. Im open to Any tips & tricks to try before throwing in the towel. Thanks in advance.

Damn, looks like these transmissions start to reach their limit around the 3-400k mi. range... I'm on the same boat, with replacing the pressure solenoid for performance D in January, but now it's come back and brought more friends with it. I'm not in a mood to play games with this transmission, I may jump to the end and replace it at this point and time...

I had a 2000 Dodge 1500 with a 4 speed transmission and a few times it wouldn't shift out of second. Each time it turned out to be the Throttle Body Sensor. It was replaced and all was good. I don't know if your Tundra is the same.

Well, I ended up replacing the transmission with a used one off Ebay. It was a 91K miles trans but from the North so everything steel/ pan/ bolts were rusted bad & aluminum corroded. All the pan bolts wee basically corrosion welded together. 8 out of the 12 pan bolts broke even after soaking with Kroil for 2 days. I was able to get 4 more bolts out by working with it/ hitting with a punch & hammer, soaking in kroil. The oil pan gasket collars were corroded solid on the bolts & case! Worst I've ever seen. Anyway, got them out, drilled, tapped & helicoiled the other 4. The truck is running, driving & shifting great now. Thanks for all the help/ suggestions.

How much was the replacement unit if you don’t mind sharing?

I actually got a great deal for $1200 + tax, free shipping. The seller said he'd refund some for the rust & repair so that's gonna make it even less.

Yeah that’s a great deal. Tons of extra work but a shop would have been 4-6k all in or more.
