2005, 4x4 won’t engage, it just sits there and blinks and you can’t hear it trying underneath either. Worked just fine until one day it wouldn’t engage. Where do I start troubleshooting before I take it to the shop?

Wouldn't doubt if it's actuator contact corrosion, see video, but you may just try the steps first before uncapping anything.

Vent tubes on actuators tend to rot and let outside crap in.
