I've opened the transfer case and it looks good... no moisture. I replaced the transfer case switch on the dash and reset the computer and still no 4WD. I put winter tires on about 2 months ago. One of the tires was new, the others were about 1/2 - 3/4 left on the tread. Shortly after when I used the 4WD the lights all came on. That was about 3 weeks ago. For about 2 weeks, I could put the truck in reverse, and get it to change from 4WD to 2WD but now it is stuck in 2WD. Its dangerous to drive on the slick roads. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but for the last 4-5 months, my cruise control works sporadically.
Please help if you have any ideas. Thanks in advance!

Welcome from NC! Have you checked your ABS sensors? Issues with those have caused some of the issues you are describing.

Check your battery. If volts are low or it is going out it will cause all sorts of faults/alerts like that.

If battery checks out ok, visit an auto parts store and have them read the codes that it is throwing.

Thank-you for the information. There are no codes that come up. I have used two different code readers just to make sure. The battery is new as of last summer. I may have found the issue. I put my winter tires on in September. One of the tires was new. The tread on the other tires are about 1/2 gone. I went to two tire shops and then to the Toyota dealership and talked to the foreman. They all said that the new tire compared to the used tires may be the issue as they are not all rotating at the same speed. I am putting on three new tires later today. I will post here if that is the issue.

I put new tires on. Drove it for about 20 miles, reset the computer and nothing. The lights are still flashing.

Never ever go back to those shops. If that was true then the spare tire, usually a smaller size, would be death lying in wait.

Hopefully this helps. Can't remember where I saved it from. Likely an ABS issue.
