    97 Tacoma LX4x4 - just blew head gasket, 275k
day old '22 SR5 4X4 long bed, extended cab

There's more stuff standard on the new truck that I wouldn't even order if I had a chance to delete. Too cool - I love it. only thing I don't like is the thick steering wheel, I have arthritic hands. It's got more stuff than wife's Mazda near top end CX-5
I searched and could not find a decent price Taco' that wasn't very, very high mileage or salvage title that was $5k less, even back to '18. Pulled the trigger on the lot. I decided log d was more important than 4 doors as it's unlikely to go far with more than two adults.
I want to add step for bed, some sort of headache bar Maybe move the lumber rack over from my 97, but it is rusty so unworthy.
At $3,500- $4000 to fix my, I couldn't see spending that much as the truck is worth about $6k at most. Could ship it to Hawaii, son could do engine swap, and it could go for $10k and he'd make a couple $k. Shipping's not particularly hard, takes a day of driving to the port and back ad $1.6k. So, might sell it as is, someone wit the energy to replace 3.4 could get get a good deal No rust, no dents, decent paint, new OEM bucket seats, 5 speed, everything but cruise works, great tires, new hydraulics, pads, radiator, etc. Full tube roof rack and cross-bed Kobalt box... A great work truck! I'm afraid to use the new one the way I need to
