Hello everyone. I have a 07 tundra crew max I recently purchased in February. I tried the 4high before buying and it seemed fine. I just tried it again to double check that it is working properly. When I tried it today it engaged and worked properly in 4high. However when I went back to 2wd the front wheels Disengaged but the 4high light remains flashing for a long period of time. It eventually shut off after driving on for a while and shifting from drive into neutral and reverse a couple times. The vehicle is still under warranty and I plan on having them look at it. I just wanted a heads up as to what I could be dealing with. Any info is helpful. Thank you.

Transfer mode was not securely back into 2wd it sounds like. No chirp sound so it doesn't sound that serious.
If this happens again, drive forward or reverse straight (of course on a road go straight) either speeding up or reducing your speed and it should correct itself.
Sometimes 4x4 or 2wd doesn't engage fully. I've had to slow down or speed up a little before if it didn't shift automatically in some Tundras.

Heres a video from Toyota that explains it best

Transfer case was not securely switching back into 2wd had to replace transfer case was cheaper then fixing solenoid . serious.
Last post is correct I did this for about a year (If this happens again, drive forward or reverse straight (of course on a road go straight) either speeding up or reducing your speed and it should correct itself.)
If it does not engage in 4x4 or 2wd put it in neutral then try the selector switch that was the only way we were able to get the solenoid to work at the dealership .
